Biker in serious condition after running into pickup

BUTLER TWP — A motorcyclist is in serious condition this morning as a result of an accident Monday afternoon in Butler Township.

Homer Clark, 52, of Butler was taken to Allegheny General Hospital on Monday, after rear-ending a pickup truck stopped for a school bus.

The incident in the southbound lane of Dutchtown Road occurred about 4 p.m.

Police said Clark was driving his Harley Davidson south on the road when he rear-ended a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by David Comer, 49, of Lyndora, as it was stopped for a school bus on the road.

Police said Comer suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Police said Clark initially was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital on Monday afternoon. Then Clark was transferred to Allegheny General where he is in serious condition this morning.

Police said the school bus was not involved in the accident. An officer providing information did not know if Clark was wearing a helmet.
