QUESTION: Why are you running for office?

SERVELLO: I have lived in Seven Fields for over 17 years and have enjoyed the small community feeling it has provided my family with.

I value community service and cherish the opportunity to become more involved in my community and to share my experience on the borough council.

I take seriously the responsibility of being a dedicated public servant and feel that my years of volunteering show my dedication to my community.

SIKORA: Because I was brought up to believe that if you care about something it's better to be involved and helpful, than complain when it's too late or done. We have a great group right now on council who truly believe in doing what is right for the community, not for their own personal agenda. I think Dawn Servello would make a wonderful addition to the group.

QUESTION: What do you consider the pressing matters facing your municipality?

SERVELLO: My goal, as a member of the borough council is to keep taxes low and help continue to keep Seven Fields property values high.

I will apply common sense principles in all of my decision-making, and I will work diligently and cooperatively with my colleagues to find common ground that serves the best interests of Seven Fields and all its residents.

SIKORA: One important reason that I want to stay involved in the borough is because of the newness of the police force. We are still building and growing our force. We have come a long way from the initial idea of creating it, to the highly visible force we have today. I have been a part of every step along the way and I want to see the project through till the end. We are making some hard changes, but I believe the end result will be better for everyone.

SCALAMOGNA: No response.
