Annual nature show set

Artwork submitted for last year's Nature and Wildlife Art Show at the Butler Art Center is indicative of the paintings, drawings, photography and mixed media that will be part of this year's show too.

The Associated Artists of Butler County will present the annual Nature and Wildlife Art Show starting Oct. 30 at the Butler Art Center.

A reception will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 30. The Harmony Hot Haus Band will provide entertainment, and light refreshments will be served. Admission is free.

Artists will be exhibiting varied views of nature and wildlife.

The artwork will be in five categories: painting, drawing, photography and digital art, mixed media and collage, and 3-D (sculpture, fiber art and ceramics).

Cash and ribbons will be awarded to the top two finishers in each category.

Art entries must be submitted by this Saturday.

The exhibit will run through Nov. 20.

The Art Center also is collecting for Toys for Tots again this year. New, unwrapped toys are needed.
