Butler Middle School will have 100 more science-themed books on its library shelves thanks to the efforts of #1 Cochran Subaru's participation in the Subaru Loves Learning initiative.

The car dealership conducted a book donation drive in August to benefit Butler Middle School. Representatives presented the books to the school on Thursday afternoon.

“The books will nicely complement the goals of our STEAM program by placing science-based literature in the hands of our students,” said Mary Wolf, assistant superintendent of elementary education at Butler School District.

The school received 25 each of four titles: “The Kid's Guide to Exploring Nature,” by Brooklyn Botanic Educators; “The Case of the Vanishing Golden Frogs: A Scientific Mystery,” by Sandra Markle; “Wild Horse Scientists,” by Kay Frydenborg; and “Handle With Care: An Unusual Butterfly Journey,” by Loree Griffin Burns.
