Thomas James Mitchell
Thomas James Mitchell, 59, of Butler passed away suddenly Saturday of natural causes at his home.
Born Dec. 12, 1955, in Butler, Tom was the beloved son of the late Loyal and Catherine (Thompson) Mitchell.
Tom was a 1973 graduate of Butler High School and attended the University of West Virginia and New Castle School of Trades. He lived most of his life on North Washington Street and was well known to the community. Tom loved music and was an accomplished horn player.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Amanda Gamble and her husband, Jason, of Greensburg; four siblings, Loyal Mitchell Jr. (Bonnie) of Utica, N.Y., Susan Mitchell of Orlando, Fla., John Mitchell (Gail) of Schenectady, N.Y., and Bill Mitchell (Darlene) of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
MITCHELL — Family and friends of Thomas James Mitchell, who died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Young's Funeral Home, 127 W.
