Perfection.

It took the ol' Scoopster a month, but he finally did it.

I went 11-0 last week to run my season record to 47-12.

That's much better and has me nearly back on pace for my goal of 110 wins this season.

Another perfect week would be nice.

Let's see if I can achieve it:

North Allegheny 42, Butler 7 — The Tigers will extend their winning streak against the Golden Tornado.

Pine-Richland 39, Seneca Valley 27 — This will be a great test for the Raiders as the Rams are potent on offense behind sophomore quarterback Phil Jurkovec, who has more than 800 yards passing and 500 yards rushing this season.

Seneca Valley's offense has also been potent — and balanced.

In what shapes up to be the game of the week, I think Pine-Richland will pull away late for a tough win over SV.

Hollidaysburg 20, Knoch 8 — This is going to be a good, old fashioned defensive battle.

Dare I say a “slobber-Knoch-er?”

To me this game is a toss-up, but I have to pick a winner and I think Hollidaysburg will do just enough on offense to win.

Mars 25, Gateway 17 — Isaiah Johnson is in a zone for the Planets.

Johnson rumbled for 216 yards and three touchdowns last week and is the Butler Scoring Trophy leader at the unofficial halfway mark of the season.

The sledding may be a little more difficult this week against Gateway, but Johnson and the Planets will get it done.

CWNC 39, Fort Cherry 10 — News flash: The Trojans are rolling.

Well, not exactly news since it seems Cardinal Wuerl is always rolling. The Trojans will roll again this week.

Highlands 31, Freeport 16 — In another marquee matchup this week, the Yellowjackets, who got a little banged up in a non-section loss against Steel Valley, will try to take control of the section with a road win.

Highlands is looking for the same.

Clarion 39, Moniteau 7 — The Bobcats have too much firepower.

Slippery Rock 32, Warren 9 — The Rockets will bounce back following a tough loss to Hickory last week.

Sharon 39, Grove City 17 — The Eagles got their first win of the season last week. Not many give Grove City much of a chance in this game, but I have a sneaky feeling the Eagles will keep this one close for awhile.

Karns City 44, Union 17 — The Gremlins are a machine right now.

Punxsutawney 34, A-C Valley 10 — The Falcons are outmanned against a team three times its size.

Deer Lakes 37, Summit Academy 10 — Deer Lakes is for real and a contender in the section.

Scoop can make a 42-yard field goal for the Steelers if called upon.
