ELK TWP, Clarion County — A Harrisville man died from injuries he suffered Tuesday in a motorcycle accident on Route 322.

State police in Clarion said Shawn M. Green, 31, was driving eastbound on his Yamaha Maxim 650 motorcycle about 3:45 p.m. when he drifted off the south berm, near the road’s intersection with Maple Drive.

Police said Green was looking toward the rear of his motorcycle when the accident occurred. The undercarriage of his motorcycle hit a grass embankment, causing it to tip on its right side and slide.

The motorcycle went more than 100 feet off the road before it came to a rest on top of Green, police said.

Green was taken to UPMC Presbyterian hospital from the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, according to police reports.
