DeJidas, Hodge win golf event at BCC
PENN TWP — Derek DeJidas and Andrew Hodge combined to card a 5-under par 65 to win the Butler Country Club Fall Classic Pro-Am Monday.
DeJidas and Hodge of Longue Vue Golf Club topped a field of 33 twosomes. Gene Walter and Rick Stimmel of the Pa. Golf Academy finished one stroke back.
Pete Micklewright and Perry Graciano of Edgewood Country Club shot a 67. Two teams — Drew Bohn and B.J. Semple of Allegheny Country Club, PGA professional Steve Superick and Jessie Ferrell — shot 68.
Locally, the top duos were Rob McClellan and Rob Stoops of Butler Country Club, Joe and Jack Boros of Treesdale. Both shot 69. Joe Boros had the best score of the day among the pros, carding an even-par 70.
Among the other area twosomes were John Mazza and Stan Namola, Dave Yokitis and Chris Beiter, all of Connoquenessing Country Club, with 70, Tyler Eckert and Kevin Prag of Butler Country Club with 74, Shawn McCall and Carmen Peluso of Cranberry Highlands with 75.
