EVANS CITY — The borough will mark its place is movie history on Friday.

That is the day when a marker that cites the borough as the location of the shooting of the 1969 cult classic horror movie “Night of the Living Dead” will be unveiled.

That will occur at 4 p.m. at the borough library.

The dedication will kick off the borough’s HalloWeekends, which will have Halloween-themed events take place on each weekend in October.

The dedication will precede the start of the Living Dead Weekend, which is the first event of HalloWeekends.
