Richard “Rick” Collier
Richard “Rick” Collier, 30, of Freeport passed away Sunday at Allegheny General Hospital.
He was born June 1, 1985, in Butler, a son of Steven “Wedge” Collier and his fiancee Lulu and Cindy (Lockwood) Collier.
A graduate of Karns City High School, Rick was employed by the Shields Paving Co.
Rick was the most loving and most devoted husband to his only true love, Lindsay (Huet) Collier with whom he just celebrated their first wedding anniversary Sept. 6, 2015.
Rick was the most generous, caring, giving friend to anyone who even came in contact with him. His love for life, people and friendship will never be forgotten.
He loved spending time with Lindsay, his family and friends, and working on his motorcycle.
He leaves behind his parents; his paternal grandparents, Steven and Joyce Collier; his brother, Matthew “Matt” Collier; his best friend and fraternal twin brother, Robert “Rob” Collier and his girlfriend, Kirstie Price, of Bruin; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, “Norma Jean” Morris and grandfather Richard “Dick” Morris.
Rich will always be remembered as a great friend to everyone.
COLLIER — The family of Richard “Rick” Collier, who died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Mantini Funeral Home, 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City. A prayer service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Christ Prince of Peace Parish with the Rev. Alan Groto officiating.Interment will take place at the Temple Cemetery, Hazen.
