James Terry Dunmyre
James Terry Dunmyre, 75, of Chicora passed away Thursday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 19, 1940, in East Brady, Terry was the son of the late James E. and Mary McCollough Dunmyre.
Terry was a 1958 graduate of Fairview Township, Karns City High School. He graduated from Grove City College in 1962. He retired after 38 years of employment as a chemical engineer at Indspec Chemical Company, formerly Koppers in Petrolia.
Mr. Dunmyre was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora. He was a member and past master of the Argyle Masonic Lodge 540 F&AM, Chicora, and also The Consistory, Valley of New Castle. Terry and his wife enjoyed attending their children's and grandchildren's activities and were very proud of their accomplishments in education, athletics and music. Terry enjoyed traveling with his family, photography, fishing and music.
Terry is survived by his wife, Donna L. Delaney Dunmyre, who he married June 9, 1962, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chicora.
Also surviving are three children, Pamela J. Scott and her husband, Stephen, of Connoquenessing, Susan M. Rothbauer and her husband, Joseph, of Connoquenessing, and Terry L. Dunmyre and his wife, Tammy (Hawk), of Fenelton; and seven grandchildren, Elyse and Emily Scott, Logan and Christian Rothbauer, and Collin, Carter and Corry Dunmyre.
In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by one son, Michael Lynn Dunmyre, who passed away Dec. 30, 1963, and one sister, Carolyn Young, who passed away on Nov. 7, 2014.
DUNMYRE — Friends of James Terry Dunmyre, who died Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora.Additional visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, where a funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev.
