Harold Fletcher “Mac” McKinney
Harold Fletcher “Mac” McKinney, 77, a resident for over 53 years of Zelienople passed away on Monday.
Born Dec. 6, 1937, in Allegheny County, he was the first son and third child to the late Harold Scott and Hannah Elizabeth (Keck) McKinney.
Mac and his siblings were raised on a farm on McKinney Road in Allegheny County and early on, he developed a love for tractors. He was a graduate of Perry High School and retired from Mine Safety Appliances (MSA) in Callery after many years of dedicated service.
Mac attended Northway Christian Community Church in Wexford with his daughter and her family. His passion for cars and working on them allowed him to showcase his 1964 white Cadillac in the Zelienople Community Fourth of July parade for over 10 years. Mac absolutely cherished watching his grandsons play baseball, but above all, he will be most remembered as a man who truly loved his family.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter, Christy Bailey and her husband, Robert; his son, Harold McKinney and his wife, Lori; his five brothers, Joe McKinney, George McKinney, John McKinney, Wes McKinney and Barney McKinney; his sister, Erma Delaney; and his six grandchildren, Hannah Linkel, Benjamin Linkel, Cory Bailey, Andreas Bailey, Noah Bailey and Colin McKinney.
Mac was anticipating the arrival of his first great-grandchild, Naomi Nova in October.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank McKinney; and his sister, Hannah Jane.
