Police arrest man, seize marijuana
CRANBERRY TWP — A township resident has been charged for possession of marijuana.
Matthew Edward Walsh, 34, has been held for court on charges of two counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance and two counts of intentional possession of a controlled substance.
The charges were filed on June 23 by the state police.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed with District Judge David Kovach’s office, on June 23 a parcel containing about 4 pounds of marijuana was taken into 419 Sussex Drive, Cranberry.
Officers observed Walsh taking the marijuana-filled parcel from the residence to a waiting vehicle, according to court papers.
Police arrested Walsh and searched the residence, where an additional pound of marijuana was found.
Walsh shares the residence with his mother.
