Connecting2Tomorrow of Butler recently expanded to Mercer, Venango and Clarion counties as well as to the Karns City, Slippery Rock and Cranberry Township areas.

C2T also hosted a mentor training session Aug. 31 for its newest mentor class to help prepare them for the start of the mentoring program in late September.

C2T is a nonprofit organization that offers a free mentoring program to teens and young adults in Butler and other surrounding counties. The organization welcomes 10 new mentors to its team.

Mary Pratt, a trainer with The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern PA and workshop speaker, offered advice for mentors.

C2T has partnered with The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern PA since 2014. It also partners with the United Way of Butler County and the National Mentoring partnership.

The 18-week curriculum focuses on such items as goal setting, workplace etiquette, money management and interview skills.
