Marvin W. Hays

Marvin W. Hays, 90, of Rock Glen, Pa., formerly of Middlesex Township, died Aug. 9 at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born in Pittsburgh on Oct. 11, 1924, he was the son of the late Frances and Mary Benyak Hays.

Marvin had been a pilot for Flying Tigers Air Freight and later a businessman.

He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II.

Surviving are his son, M. Wayne Hays and his wife, Beth, of West Sunbury; a nephew, Thomas Hays and his wife, Cindy, of Saxonburg; a niece, Rose Hays Altmire and her husband, Douglas, of Saxonburg; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his former wife, Elsie Sydlik Hays, and a brother, Robert Hays.

HAYS — Services for Marvin W. Hays, who died on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, were private under the direction of the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Burial was in Glade Run Cemetery, Middlesex Township.Condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
