Man gets 2 to 5 years in stabbing
A Clearfield Township man will spend up to 5 years in prison for stabbing a man during a bar fight.
Robert L. Fry, 35, initially had been charged with attempted homicide for the incident in January 2015. However, as part of a plea arrangement with the Butler County District Attorney's Office, Fry pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and possessing an instrument of crime.
In exchange for the plea, the prosecution recommended Fry be sentenced to serve 2 to 5 years in prison followed by 15 months of probation.
Butler County Judge William Shaffer issued that sentence today.
