Kristina M. “Kris” Wells, 49, of Butler passed away peacefully at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at UPMC Passavant following a short illness.

Kris was born March 5, 1966, in Butler. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd Giles and the late Carol A. Steele. Kris had been employed at Slippery Rock University as a baker. She was an avid Steeler fan and loved to play bingo.

Kris is survived by two daughters, Kristin Wells of McKees Rocks and Lisa Easley and her husband, Dontae of Washington, D.C.; one uncle, Carl “Junior” White, where she made her home; four sisters, Margie (John) McKinnis of North Washington, Carol (Bill) Smith of West Sunbury, JoAnn Steele of Slippery Rock and Mary Steele of Cheswick; one brother, Edward Giles of Tampa, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

Kris was preceded in death by her son, David W. Wells.

WELLS — The family of Kristina M. “Kris” Wells, who died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.A blessing service will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home Thursday with the Rev. James Bedillion of St. Alphonsus Parish officiating.Burial will be at the North Washington Cemetery.
