Northwest Elementary School locked down
BUTLER TWP — Northwest Elementary School was locked down this morning after Butler County dispatch received a report of a man with a gun in the area.
The armed man was reportedly seen about 8:30 a.m. walking on Staley Avenue, near school property.
Police were called to the scene and about 10 minutes later, dispatch was notified that the principal had placed the school on lock down as a precaution.
