Robert James Bilott
Robert “Bob” James Bilott, 84, of Greensburg passed away Tuesday at Redstone Highlands of Greensburg, where he has lived for the past five years.
Bob was born June 12, 1931, in Larimer, the son of the late James and Pauline Dragger Bilott.
Bob was a graduate of North Huntingdon High School, Class of 1949, and Robert Morris Business School.
Bob married Rose Sekuta on April 7, 1953, and they had four children.
He served his country in the U.S. Army in the 1950s. Bob was a salesman most of his life and he enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting. He had a lifelong love of his family's hunting camp in Tidioute, Pa., the Larimer Buckhorn.
Bob retired from sales in 1996 and became involved in the Irwin Moose Lodge 236, where he would eventually serve as governor and administrator. He was honored to be named to the Moose Fellowship.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Rose, who died on Sept. 13, 2010; one brother, Franklin, who died in 1933; and one sister, Pauline Bilott Rush, who died in 1961.
He is survived by his children, his daughter, Tina (Mark) Oesterlin of North Huntingdon; his sons, Dr. James (Jennifer) Bilott of Greensburg, John (Kim) Bilott of Baltimore, Md., and Dr. Anthony (Dr. Anne) Bilott of Butler; three grandchildren, Capt. Jesse (Chantel) Lopata and their new son, Lincoln James, currently in training in San Antonio, Texas, Anne Marle Bilott of Butler and Wyatt Bilott of Maryland; one brother, James Bilott and his wife, Cindy, and their sons, Jason and Chad of Georgia; one niece, Teressa Rush Cover of Thurmont, Md.; and one nephew, John Sekuta of Cranberry Township.
In addition, he is survived by many cousins and dear friends.
