John C. “Jack” Skelly
John C. “Jack” Skelly, 92, of Gibsonia passed away Thursday.
Born Aug. 24, 1922, in Sharon, he was the son of the late Frank E. and Althea M. (Shaffer) Skelly.
He was the beloved husband for 67 years of Gertrude M. “Trudy” (Flaherty) Skelly; the father of Amanda M. Zink of Carnegie, Marguerite A. (Fred) Logan of New Hope and John C. “Jack” (Jane) Skelly III of Harmony; the brother of the late Marguerite Jamieson and Frank L. Skelly. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A World War II U.S. Army veteran, Jack was a member of American Legion Post 548, Bakerstown, the Mars VFW 7505 and the Traffic and Transportation Association of Pittsburgh.
He was a professional sales manager employed by Consolidated Freight Ways for 40 years. He served as an usher and was active with the Men's Group at the St. Richard Church. Jack previously served on the board of directors of the Richland Water Authority.

Skelly, who died Thursday, July 30, 2015, will welcome friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Schellhaas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the St. Richard Church with the Rev. Thomas A.
