California pair charged in 2002 murder in Pa.
STROUDSBURG — A California man and woman have been charged with the killing and dismemberment of a northeastern Pennsylvania man 13 years ago.
State police in Monroe County charged 35-year-old James Britton Jr. and 46-year-old Stacy Britton of Twentynine Palms, Calif., in the July 2002 murder of 46-year-old Robert Roudebush of Edwardsville.
Police alleged Friday that the now-divorced couple stabbed Roudebush, beat him with a hammer and then dismembered his body in Wilkes-Barre because they thought he had stolen drugs and money.
