Nancy M. Wissinger

Nancy M. Wissinger, 77, of Butler passed away Sunday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

Born Dec. 29, 1937, in Natrona Heights, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Alberta N. (Thompson) Mochel.

She was a homemaker while raising her family. She then was employed by St. John Specialty Care in Mars as a laundry and housekeeping aide. She retired in 2000 following 13 years of service.

She was a member of the St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers. She was also involved in the youth group and taught preschool at the church.

She enjoyed reading and puzzle books.

Surviving is her husband, Howard J. Wissinger. They were married March 24, 1962.

Also surviving are three children, Stephen J. Wissinger and Theresa I. Wissinger, both of Butler, and Beth A. Sandidge of Slippery Rock; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Helen (Gary) McLafferty of Freeport; Nolene (Bud) Rauschenberger of Oklahoma and Mary (H. Lynn) Smock of Sarver; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers.

WISSINGER — Friends of Nancy M. Wissinger, who died Sunday, July 26, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A blessing service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Murphy officiating.Interment will follow at the Greenlawn Burial Estates in Butler.Memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, Pa. 16053.
