As we open our eyes this morning,

We look to the Heavens above.

We whisper, Happy Birthday, Scott,

And send you all our love.

We cannot send a birthday card,

You hand we cannot touch, but God will take our greetings

To the one we love so much,

Put your arms around Him Lord,

Don’t leave Him on His own.

For today it is Scotts birthday.

His first one away from home.

No farewell words were spoken,

No time to say goodbye,

You were gone before we knew it

And only God knows why.

Our hearts still ache in sadness

And secret tears still flow,

What it meant to lose you,

No one will ever know.
