Marilyn Lockwood
Marilyn P. Lockwood, 69, of Zelienople passed away peacefully Saturday surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 4, 1946, in Bradford, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Art Peterson and Lorraine Anderson Peterson.
Her cherished memories will live on through her husband of 47 years, Charles Lockwood, to whom she lovingly sang the tune “I love you, a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck;” her only child, Jason Lockwood and his wife, Kelly of Freedom, Pa.; three grandsons, Alec, Xavier and E.J.; her niece, Tracy Byer; her nephew, Ed Chandler; and several other extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers and beloved dog, Snickers.
Marilyn was employed as a senior administrative assistant for Glade Run Lutheran Services, and she was a member of the English Lutheran Church in Zelienople.
She dearly loved her grandchildren and had the largest heart of anyone. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, birdwatching and nature in general, but one of her most enjoyable pastimes was cutting the grass on her zero-turn mower. Above all though was her love for the Lord Jesus Christ.
One of her final comments in life was, “If I die tomorrow, know that I have lived a wonderful life. I have no regrets, and I love you.” Her last words to her husband, son and daughter-in-law were, “I love you all.”
Her family wishes to thank everyone for their continuous support and love.
