Mars Shortline Railroad has tiny train rides available. As long as weather allows, adults and children can catch rides from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays through September at the Mars History and Landmark Society's restored small scale B&O Train Station south of downtown at 1 Brickyard Road. The Old Stone House presents “Foodways Programs” cooking instruction. Classes run 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bake oven classes are available Saturday and Sept. 19. Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad has train rides Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays in August. The train leaves the Perry Street Station, 409 S. Perry St., Titusville, at 1 p.m. Plan to arrive at least one half-hour prior for boarding. On the three-hour trip, guests can learn about the people and places where oil history began. Carnegie Science Center, North Side, hosts the art, comedy, and science of Casey Carle's BubbleMania on Saturday and Sunday.
