Forbes sets swim mark at nationals
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Butler YMCA swimmer Camryn Forbes won two national championships at the YMCA Swimming National Championships last week in Indianapolis.
Forbes set the 100 backstroke record, finishing the race in 1 minutes, 2.54 seconds. She also won the 50 backstroke (29.41 seconds), placed fourth in the 200 breaststroke and 15th in the 50 butterfly.
The Butler Y turned in several strong performances.
Chadd Cummings placed third in the 200 breaststroke, third in the 50 breast and fourth in the 100 breast. Brooke Zukowski placed in sixth in the 200th breaststroke, eight in the 50 and 100 breaststroke.
Abby Jones swam personal bests in all three breaststroke events and Jimmy Pierre set career bests in the 200 IM and 100 backstroke.
