Kathleen Jamison
Kathleen E. Jamison, 90, of Butler passed away at 5:50 p.m. Monday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born Feb. 28, 1925, in Meridian to the late Thomas H. Jamison and Catherine (Saunders) Jamison.
Kathleen worked as secretary and bookkeeper for the Louis Hortert Painting Co., until her retirement in July 1995. She had previously worked for the Petrolium Solvents Co. and for Dr. F.T. Wigton Jr. OD.
Kathleen was a member of the St. John's Reformed Church, where she had been a member of the church choir and was also a member of the community choir. She had been a volunteer at the VA Medical Center in Butler since her retirement. In 1999, she was inducted into the Butler County Voter's Hall of Fame after 50 years of voting.
Kathleen is survived by two brothers, Thomas W. Jamison of Ojai, Calif., and Robert G. Jamison and his wife, Joanne of Renfrew; seven nieces; eight nephews; 19 great-nieces and nephews; and two great-great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Myers, Irene Barnett and Helen Guitteau, and one nephew, Gary Myers.
JAMISON — Friends of Kathleen E. Jamison, who died Monday, July 6, 2015, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will immediately follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Lee Dreyer of the White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church officiating.
