Spina Bifida Association plans summer festival
FRANKLIN PARK, Allegheny County — The seventh annual Summer Festival of the Spina Bifida Association of Western Pennsylvania (SBAWP) will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Aug. 15 at the Maple Grove Pavilion at Blueberry Hill Park.
It will feature activities for children and adults, including archery, children’s sports, inflatables, exhibits, bingo and an auction.
Entertainment will include performances by local musical groups Jaywalker and Kid Icarus.
There will be a landing of a LifeFlight helicopter, and visitors can see the helicopter and talk to the LifeFlight crew.
There is a cost to attend the event, but children younger than 5 are free. Proceeds benefit the association.
