Fred R. Kison
Fred R. Kison, 84, of Butler passed away Friday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
Born July 22, 1930, in Celina, Ohio, he was a son of the late Clarence and Ruth (Perry) Kison.
He was employed as a tank operator by Glenshaw Glass. He retired in June of 1995 following 41 years service.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed Pittsburgh sport teams, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Surviving is his wife, Jane (Patterson) Kison. They were married April 28, 1956.
Also surviving are one daughter, Kimberly (Larry) Sidley of Butler; two grandchildren, Shannon and Andrew Sidley of Butler; one brother, Jack Kison of Natrona Heights; one sister, Pat (Jay) Wessel of Sarver; four nieces; and three nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Wilma Kison.
KISON — Friends of Fred R. Kison, who died Friday, July 3, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
