Carol Schattauer
Carol Schattauer, 61, of Butler passed away Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 28, 1954, in Natrona Heights, to Walter and Constance Graham.
Carol graduated from Highlands High School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Carol worked as a real estate agent for Northwood Realty.
She was an avid supporter of Droopy Basset Hound Rescue. Carol enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her Bassett hounds. She also enjoyed hiking and bicycle riding all through Northwestern Pennsylvania with her husband.
Carol is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Schattauer, who she married on July 10, 1989; three sons, Benjamin Pearson of New Castle, Adam Pearson of Jupiter, Fla., and Robert Schattauer of Beaver, Pa.; two daughters, Sarah Compton of Kingsport, Tenn., and Emmalee Schattauer of Butler; eight grandchildren, Luke R. Pearson, Emma Pearson, Ethan Pearson, Noah Pearson, Stella Pearson, Logan Pearson, Sydney Compton and Tiffany Boyd; two brothers, Berny Graham of Asheboro, N.C., and Billy Graham of Greenville, Pa.; and one sister, Cheryl Beigay of Natrona Heights.
SCHATTAUER — Friends of Carol Schattauer, who died Saturday, July 4, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on both Tuesday and Wednesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Eric Park, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will take place at the Mars Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Droopy Basset Hound Rescue of Western PA, 15581 Stewart Hill Road, Union City, PA 16438.
