Fire quickly put out in abandoned house
CONNOQUENESSING TWP — Firefighters quickly put out a small fire in an abandoned house Tuesday night.
They responded to a report of smoke at 110 Brannon Lane, a private road off Bryson Road, around 7 p.m.
The owner of the house, who lives in another house on the property, saw the smoke and called 911, Connoquenessing Fire Chief Lou Zimmerman said. No one was injured.
Firefighters got the situation under control and then used fans to clear the building of smoke.
The source of the smoke was undetermined, though the building was still wired for electricity, Zimmerman said.
The amount of damage was undetermined, though they did not use much water, he said.
Butler Township Fire District and Butler EMS also responded.
