Edward J. DeMarsh
Edward J. DeMarsh, 70, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Forestville and Grove City, passed away Saturday at his home following an extended illness.
Born July 7, 1944, in Grove City, he was the son of Theodor “Ted” DeMarsh and Dorothy M. Kays DeMarsh.
He married Linda M. Severino on April 19, 1969.
Ed retired as a real estate agent from Northwood Realty, Cranberry Township. Previously he was a partner with the H. & D. Coal Co. and the H. &. D. Mining Co., Grove City.
A member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Forestville, Ed graduated from Slippery Rock High School, Class of 1962. He served in the U.S. Army for three years.
Survivors include his wife, Linda at home; one son, Jeffrey Todd of Washington; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Herndon and her husband, Robert, of Grove City and Marilyn Brooks and her husband, Alfred, of Wooster, Mass.; one brother, Paul DeMarsh of Harrisville; and many nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents.

DeMarsh, who died Saturday, June 27, 2015, may be made to either the St. Anthony's Catholic Church c/o St. Peters Parrish, 342 Normal Ave., Slippery Rock, PA 16057 or the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 232 Boyers Road, Harrisville, with the Rev. Kevin Peoching as celebrant.Burial will take place at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Harrisville.Arrangements are being handled by the Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.
