Caroline Elizabeth Cooper

Caroline Elizabeth Cooper, 84, of Slippery Rock, Brady Township, passed away Friday at the Grove Manor in Grove City.

She was born on May 13, 1931, in Brady Township. She was the daughter of Frank Mackey and Elizabeth Badger Mackey. She married C. Wade Cooper on May 6, 1953. He preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 2014.

She graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 1949. Caroline was a homemaker and a member of the West Liberty Presbyterian Church. Years ago when her children were in 4-H, she was a 4-H leader. She loved sewing, quilting and working in her garden.

Survivors include one son, Bradley W. and his wife, Beth, Cooper of Slippery Rock; three daughters, Nadena L. and her husband, Bill, Kramer of Carlton, Pa., Sylvia J. and her husband, Larry, Morrison of Slippery Rock and Lisa B. and her husband, Rob, Leach of Linwood, Kan.; one brother, J. Fred and his wife, Ina, Mackey of Slippery Rock; two sisters, Myrtle Shirey of Callensburg, Pa., and Anna Mae and her husband, John, Richards of Slippery Rock; seven grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother, Albert.

COOPER — The family of Caroline Elizabeth Cooper, who died Friday, June 19, 2015, will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Don Dittman, pastor of Chaplain of Grove Manor Nursing Home, presiding. Interment will be in West Liberty Cemetery.
