Clyde E. Christy
Clyde E. Christy, 58, of Saxonburg went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday.
Born Clyde E. Vogan Jr., he was born on Sept. 30, 1956, in Ellwood City.
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1976 to 1980. He was a member of Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church. Clyde and was an avid Steelers fan.
Surviving are wife, Diana L. (Thrower) Christy, who he married Aug. 6, 1999; one son, Matthew Christy of Saxonburg; two daughters, Alicea Drischler of Sarver and Kaitlynn (Joseph) Swallon of Saxonburg; one stepdaughter, Julie (Kevin) Thompson of Saxonburg; two stepsons, Michael (Nicole) Stull of Saxonburg and Jeffrey (Jill) Stull of Butler; and 16 grandchildren. Also surviving are his mother, Bonita (Hardie) Christy of Slippery Rock; five brothers; and four sisters.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anne Crosby Christy; his birth father, Clyde E. Vogan; and his adopted father, Eugene Christy.
CHRISTY — Friends of Clyde E. Christy, who died Friday, June 19, 2015, will be received on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. atFox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. David Brewer and Tim Thoma officiating.Interment with military honors will be conducted by the Saxonburg American Legion Post 683 will follow at the Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to The Crown of Brothers Men's Group of Saxonburg, where he was an integral part of his favorite men's conference “Reverse the Curse” based on Malachi 4:6 or better yet stop in for Bible study.The Crown of Brothers Men's Group meets Monday evenings from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church at 100 E.
