Roberta M. “Bertie” Stephens Douglas, 60, of Perry Township, Parker, passed away at 11:35 p.m. Saturday evening at UPMC-Presbyterian in Pittsburgh following a lengthy illness.

Born on Dec. 19, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Robert Paul and Ella Mae Terwilliger Stephens.

She was a Protestant.

“Bertie” was retired from the INDSPEC Corp. in Petrolia where she had over 30 years of service.

She served many years as a Girl Scout leader with the Keystone Tall Tree unit, and was a member of the Foxy Flames Red Hat Society.

“Bertie” enjoyed reading and studying about moose, and collected moose figurines from family and everywhere she traveled.

Surviving are her husband, Rodger Douglas; two children and spouses, Kimberly (Josh) Anthony of Parker and Stephen (Jody) Douglas of Cassandra, Pa.; four grandchildren, Riley, Chloe, Matthew and Mason Douglas, all of Cassandra; three “furry” grandchildren as well as the longtime dog friend, Kasey; three sisters, Barbara Cherico of Shippenville, Bonnie (Bob) Lowe of Mifflinville, Pa., and Brenda (John) Harbison of Nebraska, and a number of nieces and nephews.

DOUGLAS — Friends of Roberta M. “Bertie” Stephens Douglas, who died Saturday, June 13, 2015, may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S.
