Cranberry rolls past Saxonburg

Cranberry Township dealt Saxonburg a lopsided 17-1, six-inning defeat in Eagle County League baseball play on Wednesday.

Eddie Emes worked all six innings, striking out two and allowing the one run on just three singles to earn the win.

Tanner Master singled four times for Cranberry (15-7-1), Reed Tomlinson singled and doubled twice and Ben Murray had two doubles.

Bill Clinefelter and Ryan Owens joined in the hit parade, each with a pair of singles.

Mars II 10, Zelienople 1 — Darren Blakely singled doubled and drove in four runs to help Mars II beat Zelienople on the road.

Alex Ziegler also hit a home run and drove in three runs for Mars II (17-6).

Ethan Weiss earned the win, striking out four batters in six innings of work.

Evan Oswald singled twice and scored three runs, while Danny McGrath stole three bases and added a single and double for Mars II.

Adam Schaffner singled and scored for Zelienople.
