FRANKLIN TWP — Residents of the Golden L Mobile Home Park have gone weeks without mail delivery due to broken locks on their mailboxes.

The park is home to more than 20 trailers, each of which has a mailbox at a centralized location near the entrance.

Tad Kelley, a spokesman for the U.S. Postal Service, said mail cannot be left unsecured, so a few broken locks may cause problems for all the residents.

“Our mail carrier us supposed to service the entire collection of boxes from the back, not open each individual door,” Kelley said. He said the park is working to fix the problem. Meanwhile, residents have to pick up their mail at the Butler post office.
