Three Karns City products — Zach Moore, Alessandro Marotto and Matt Yough — drove in runs to help Saxonburg’s Eagle County team beat Mars II 5-2 Tuesday night at Marburger Field.

Moore hit a solo shot, while Marotto doubled and Yough had two singles.

Ryan Leonberg had Mars II’s lone hit, driving in two runs with a single. Bobby Swartwout got the win for Saxonburg (13-11), striking out five batters over five innings of work.

Mars II 5, Freeport 1 — Tim Geibel struck out 10 and walked one in a complete game as Mars II rolled over Freeport in Eagle County League baseball play Monday evening.

Geibel allowed just five hits and added two singles and a run scored at the plate.

Alex Ziegler singled twice and scored a run in the victory, Evan Oswald singled, scored a run and drove in one and Josh Friel scored once and drove in two. Mars II is 15-7.

Saxonburg 9, Pine-Richland 7 — Andy Fritz had two doubles and drove in a run and James Connelly picked up the win on the mound, striking out six in seven innings, as Saxonburg edged Pine-Richland.

Marotto had a pair of hits for Saxonburg.

Mars Sliders 8, Zelienople 2 — Nick Comport limited Zelienople to a pair of runs on eight hits in the Mars Sliders’ win.

Comport struck out three and walked two in a complete game.

Noah Gasparin singled twice and Ryan Wotus singled and drove in two runs for the Sliders (5-15).

Brandon Durbin doubled twice for Zelie.
