Montessori enrolls preschoolers

Registration is under way for the Montessori Preschool of Meridian, 1 Benbrook Place.

Morning classes will begin Aug. 31 for 3- to 5- year olds.

The preschool is certified and licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

Wild game callers to demonstrate craft

ZELIENOPLE — Talkin’ Stick Game Calls will be at the Zelienople Public Library, 227 S. High St., at 6:30 p.m. July 20 to present a program about turkey calls and other game calls and how they are made.

Buddy and Cody Stang will present this free, family friendly program.

Rock promoter discusses memoir

CRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Public Library. 2525 Rochester Road, will welcome concert promoter Pat DiCesare at 2 p.m. July 25.

DiCesare will discuss his book, “Hard Days Hard Nights,” as well as sell and sign copies after the presentation.

His revealing memoir spans more than 40 years in the music industry. He will share details of how he brought the Beatles to Pittsburgh and talk about close encounters with music’s biggest stars, including Janis Joplin, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Bruce Springsteen, Alice Cooper, The Rolling Stones, The Jackson Five and Aerosmith.

Church schedules rummage sale

VALENCIA — Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., will have its annual rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 18.

Items on sale will include décor, small appliances, furniture and toys.
