Mr. Louis Roccki, Sr.

Louis “Louie” D. Roccki Sr., 87, of Cabot passed away Tuesday evening at Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.

Born in Claytonia on Aug. 8, 1927, he was the son of the late Domenico and Philomeno Gieugiordieno Roccki.

He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War.

He retired as a roller from Armco Steel after 43 years of service.

He belonged to Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Louie was a die-hard fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates, and his favorite pastimes were playing horseshoes and the lottery. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Louie is survived by his wife, Mary Doria Roccki, who he married on April 11, 1953; two sons, Louis D. Roccki Jr. and his wife, Lisa of Noblesville, Ind., and Dominick J. Roccki of Langhorne, Pa.; one daughter, Carol Manuel of Butler; and six grandchildren, Brandon Roccki, Joshua Manuel, Jeremy Manuel, Jenna Manuel, Kayla Payer and Hannah Roccki.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael A. Roccki, and son-in-law, James G. Manuel.

ROCCKI — Friends of Louis “Louie” D. Roccki, who died Tuesday, June 9, 2015, will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Avenue, Butler, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler.
