Carl Reed, 62, of Ford City passed away on May 7 at Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born March 2, 1953, in Camp Lejeune, N.C., he was the son of the late Harry and Gladys Reinhold Reed.

He attended Freeport High School, graduating in 1971. He was a retired warehouse employee and a Vietnam War veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, his grandchildren and his family.

Survivors include his mother, Gladys Reed of Sarver; his daughter, Connie Bell of Ford City; two grandchildren, Marissa Bell and Jacob Bell; his brother, Thomas (Bonnie) Reed of Texas; and his sister, Denise Reed of California.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Harry Reed.
