Elizabeth Ann Daniels, 78, of East Butler passed away at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born Aug. 19, 1936, in Butler to the late Herbert Weir and Anna D. (Burnside) Weir.

Elizabeth was a homemaker and the tax collector for East Butler Borough.

She was a past member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem No. 32, and she enjoyed bowling.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, James Daniels, who she married June 12, 1968; two daughters, Sheri Gibson and her husband, John, of Butler and Darcee Myers and her husband, Lee, of Saxonburg; one son, Mark Daniels and his girlfriend, Jenn Zielinski, of West Sunbury; three grandchildren, John David Gibson and his wife, Tonia, Gretchen Renee Gibson and Mitchell Leighton Myers, all of Butler; two great-grandchildren, Rylee Sherman and Karrik Gibson; two brothers, Ralph “Bud” Weir and his wife, Cheryl, and Gary Weir and his wife, Sharon, both of Butler; one sister, Marsha Doerr and her husband, Jack, of Butler; one uncle, Howard Weir and his wife, Pat, of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James D. McLaughlin, who passed away July 1962.

DANIELS — In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public visitation for Elizabeth Ann Daniels, who died Wednesday, May 27, 2015.A private memorial service was Saturday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev.
