Ruth Jane Geiger
Ruth Jane Hayes Geiger, 78, of Valencia passed away this morning at Elmcroft of Saxonburg.
Born in Sewickley, Pa., on Oct. 20, 1936, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Emma F. Kolb Hayes.
Ruth was a member of the St. Kilian Parish and its Ladies of Charity.
She enjoyed cooking, shopping, dining out, photography, scrapbooking and Scrabble, but her favorite times were spent with her husband, six children, 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband of over 60 years, Joseph C. Geiger Jr., who she married on Jan. 15, 1955; her daughter, Sandra Becker (John) of West Deer Township; five sons, Joseph Geiger (Patty) of McCandless Township, Eric Geiger (Monica) of Pittsburgh, Mark Geiger (Laura) of Peachtree City, Ga., Matthew Geiger (Amie) of Butler and Michael Geiger (Kristy) of Mars; her grandchildren, Christopher (Brittany), Amanda, Brian (Sandy Spratt), Sarah, Jeff, Dan, Max, Jordan, Luke, Kylie, Roan, Jackson and Cole; her great-grandchildren, Colt and Aubrey; and a sister, Elaine Snell (Mel) of Springdale.
