Linda L. McClelland
Linda Lee (Alexander) McClelland, 72, of Butler passed away at 11:21 p.m. Friday at the Meadville Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 6, 1943, in Connoquenessing to the late William Louis Alexander and Bernice (Irvin) Alexander.
Linda was a 1961 graduate of Butler High School. She attended Butler County Community College where she received her licensed practical nursing degree.
Linda worked at Beneficial Finance and retired after many years as an LPN from the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and antique collecting. Linda also enjoyed calligraphy, dancing, poetry and music.
Linda is survived by one son, John Lindell and his wife, Sonia, of Lyndora; two daughters, Laura Deal and her husband, Shawn, of Linesville, Pa., and Melinda Kopper and her husband, Kevin, of Latrobe, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Zachary Deal and his wife, Samantha, of Pittsburgh, Lauren Deal of Linesville, Pa., Charlie Deal of Linesville, Pa., Kevin Kopper Jr. of Latrobe, Pa., Lynden Kopper of Latrobe, Pa., Sarah Lindell of Lyndora and Hannah Lindell of Lyndora; three nieces, Spring Deal of Butler, Elizabeth Andrusis of Slippery Rock and Jessica Smith of Redmond, Wash.; and three nephews, David Alexander of Falconer, N.Y., William Alexander of Connoquenessing and Seth Alexander of Grayling, Mich.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Louis “Bill” Alexander Jr.
MCCLELLAND — Friends of Linda L. McClelland, who died Friday, May 22, 2015, will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, and a funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev.
