Don E. Kepple Sr.
Don E. Kepple Sr., 83, of Sugarcreek Township, passed away Thursday at his home.
Born Oct. 7, 1931, in East Brady, he was the son of Charles Sr. and Vernie (Crawford) Kepple.
Mr. Kepple worked at Penreco Oil Refinery for 37 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War.
He earned the Korean-National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, Combat Infantryman Badge and Good Conduct Medal.
Mr. Kepple enjoyed hunting, fishing trips to Canada, visiting casinos, yard sales and country music.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois of Sugarcreek Township; his sons, Don E. Kepple Jr. (Michelle Woodiak) of Fayetteville, Pa., Richard (Gail) Kepple of Pittsburgh and Brian Kepple of Sugarcreek Township; his brothers, George (Edyce) Kepple and James (Loretta) Kepple; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Charles Kepple Jr. and sister, Kathleen Double.
KEPPLE — At the request of Don E. Kepple Sr., who died Thursday, May 21, 2015, services were held privately with the Rev. Ryan Lucas officiating.Interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery.Services entrusted to Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, Cowansville, Pa.Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul's Community Church, 2167 State Route 208, Chicora, PA 16025.
