Frances Thompson

Frances Thompson, 96, of Saxonburg passed away Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born Feb. 14, 1919, in Distant, Pa., she was the daughter of Nicholas Zonarich and Rosalia Gmeiner Zonarich.

Frances was a homemaker. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Saxonburg Golden Agers. She loved to cook, spend time with her family and going out to eat.

Surviving are her sons, Larry (Mary Jane) Thompson of Charlotte, N.C., and Leroy (Barb) Thompson of Slippery Rock; her daughter, Karen Buss of Butler; her sister, Hilda Buk of Lower Burrell; eight grandchildren, Michael Thompson, Melissa Camden, Kimberly Buss, Kristin Crouch, Nathan Thompson, Angela Clark, Nicholas Thompson and Laura Thompson; 14 great-grandchildren; and six step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Curtis L. Thompson on Jan. 23, 1995; one grandson; three sisters; and four brothers.

THOMPSON — Friends of Frances Thompson, who died Thursday, May 21, 2015, will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.Services will follow at noon with the Rev.
