Doris Isabel Wise
Doris Isabel Davis Wise, 85, of Vero Beach, Fla., passed away May 9 at Indian River Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 7, 1930, in East Butler. She was the daughter of Wilson and Margaret Crispin Davis.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Paul A. Wise, who passed in 1993, and her brothers, Wilson (Junie) Davis, Roy Davis and Kenneth (Hank) Davis.
She is survived by her sister, Margie (Davis) Eppinger; her brothers, Paul (Barb) Davis and Robert (Josephine) Davis; her children, Sandy Anderson, Amy Davis (Frankie) Neal and Paul (Lynne) Wise Jr.; Sandy's daughter, Julie (Erik) DuBois; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Delaney; Amy and Frankie's son, Nathan; Paul and Lynne's daughter, Kimberly; Paul's children, Jason and Renee; and many nieces and nephews.
Doris moved to Vero Beach, Fla., in 1980. She loved many things about sunny Florida, especially the chance to host family picnics at the beach. However, her heart always belonged to Pennsylvania, which she still referred to as “home.”
Most of all, she cherished friends and family and anyone who knew Doris knew her unconditional love. Her positive attitude was contagious and she never complained or lacked a smile. We know she is with the Lord, smiling upon all those she will forever love.
For those left behind, there will be an angel by your side encouraging your every step. Her mantra was: Pray, smile, be happy.
WISE — Following cremation, the family of Doris Isabel Davis Wise, who died Saturday, May 9, 2015, had a celebration of life ceremony May 16 at her favorite park, Young Park, Vero Beach, Fla.Cremation services were handled by the Lowther Funeral Home, Vero Beach, Fla.
