Ruth L. (Greenawalt) West, 92, of Zelienople passed away Friday, merely three days after the passing of her beloved husband of 71 years, Joseph L. West, who died Tuesday and who she married on June 23, 1943.

Born June 18, 1922, in Evans City, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Carrie (Frankenstein) Greenawalt.

Ruth was a longtime faithful member of the Grace Church of Harmony, and she was a member of the Evans City Senior Center. The love she had for her family sustained her role as a caring wife, mother and grandmother.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Beverly (Jay) Leasher of Wexford; her four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by two daughters; one son; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; four sisters; and five brothers.

WEST — The family of Ruth L. (Greenawalt) West, who died Friday, April 10, 2015, will welcome friends Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of a funeral ceremony at 1 p.m. at the Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E. Main St., Evans City, with the Rev. Peter J.
