Louise G. Stokes
Louise G. Stokes, 90, of Butler passed away Thursday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born June 3, 1924, in New Castle to the late Charles W. and Margaret (Williams) Grafton.
Mrs. Stokes was previously a member of the Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher.
She attended Muskingum University. She was employed at various times by Offutt's Department Store, Armco Steel, the Butler School District and J.C. Penney's.
Mrs. Stokes is survived. by one son, John R. Stokes of Renfrew; one grandson, Shawn P. Stokes and his fiancee, Kate Marquis, of Fairfax, Va.; one niece and nephew, Jean (Carl) Foraker of Stow, Ohio, and L. Robert Steward of Edinboro, Pa.; and a number of other nieces and nephews from her husband's family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter A. Stokes, who she married Sept. 2, 1949, and who passed away on Feb. 5, 2007; and her sister, Mrs. Dorothy (L. Rodney) Stewart.

Stokes, who died Thursday, May 7, 2015, there will be no public visitation or service.Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
