Man suspected in 4 DUIs enters rehab
BUTLER TWP — An East Butler man arrested four times in three months for alleged drunken driving is headed for rehab as his mounting cases make their way through the courts.
While Dean M. Minto's decision to enter a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility may have kept him out of prison for now, Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger vowed to keep an eye on him.
“He's had so many DUI arrests in the past several months that I believe he is a danger to society,” Goldinger said Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier in the day, Butler Township police filed the latest criminal case against the 45-year-old Minto, stemming from his arrest May 8 for suspected driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
He also is facing charges from DUI arrests March 2 in Jackson Township and April 3 in Summit Township. Butler police say they expect to file a DUI charge once they get Minto's blood-alcohol test results from a May 9 crash in the city.
